Let's talk about Piano Tuition and "MUSIC LESSONS" Take into account that at $27.50 per half hour lesson your Music tuiton fees, your $1100 per annum investment - multiplied by years of the same & more - might turn out to be $$$ thousands invested in some teacher's future rather than Your Own.

You can easily become one of the many poor wretches dutifully performing their scales 'n exercises, trudging back & forth, year after year, to get abominable instruction from veritable no-hopers (...musically speaking).
Forgive me folks, I'm on my pet peeve here...

Who am I? I'm a reasonably versatile Musician who Loves Teaching Piano & Keyboard instruments...
Don't get me wrong - We listen to and are lovers of Classical Piano music here; It's not all rough house "Boogie 'n Blues".
Whilst that and music improvisation are part of the focus, I perform complex and difficult arrangements by the great composers.
But then, I don't have big hands. I'm getting old. The fingers are getting stiffer by the day; Thus my technique is not exactly "refined".
So what? I'm able to entertain crowds for 5 hours at a time and they appear to enjoy the variety.
Such entertainment is delivered without the need for Sheet Music.
Playing professionally requires imagination, good memory, confidence and skill.
More than 50 years playing and as one might expect, those attributes rightfully apply to me as a musician. It's where I am at...

And it's why my students receive something uniquely different to what any other teacher can provide.
Truth is I believe that people of all ages are entitled to Tuition from Experts.

Only way to save them going through what I got out of years of dutiful devotion :

provided by nice lil old "certificated" ladies ... offering their services as "MUSIC" teachers -

If you hadn't already guessed, I'm no supporter of that well known teaching format which sponsors music exams, presented by people who Set music examinations - and whose only reality in life is music exams; As a result of which, unwitting Australians get to hang half a dozen certificates ( around $5000 worth, including the signatures ... Get your own frames ) upon the walls of houses Where People Don't Play Anymore !!!
WHY ?
Because they discovered, shock - horror, that apart from the occasional polite friend, nobody really wanted to listen to some "also ran" playing that garbage anyway ! Piano examination repertoire's not exactly where they're at - Any wonder you'd be left feeling "unappreciated"........ ?
